Vegetarian Food on P&O’s Iona

My husband and I are vegan about 95% of the time, and always at home.

We tend to go vegetarian when we travel so that we can relax, and have more choice. Some trips we’ve been on literally didn’t offer any vegan choice (and not much for vegetarians - even in California at times).

We recently did a P&O Cruise on Iona to the Norwegian Fjords and it’s absolutely possible to be Vegan; we ate in the Main Dining Rooms (MDRs) almost every night (we aren’t really buffet fans) and there was always at least one vegan choice. However, we often chose the vegetarian option as we just fancied that more.

Breakfast: plenty of choice, including beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes … plus, if you eat them, eggs, yogurts, pastries etc.

Lunch: again, lots of choice at all times.

Dinner: MDR’s, usually 2/3 options every single night. We also had an absolutely wonderful meal at Sindhu, choosing the Vegetarian Thali.

Every single dish we had, I thoroughly enjoyed; delicious with great service.

Images below of the wide variety of delicious food enjoyed - rest assured, you’ll eat well as a veggie on a P&O cruise!
